Update on Sandra Bullock and Jesse James: Police Come to Their Home

Sheila Chase
Where is Sandra Bullock? Likely, the media fails to know or the media would be camped out at her doorstep, waiting for news from her. Instead the media finds itself constantly posted at Jesse James's doorsteps, both his home and his work, according to eonline.com. According to eonline.com, "West Coast Choppers' headquarters are swarming with paps, fans and haters alike all trying to get a piece of the guy tarnishing Oscar's glow." So, what is it that they actually expect to get from Jesse James?

Jesse James has already taken responsibility and issued a public apology. One might agree that this fails to make everything okay. (It doesn't.) However, what else can Jesse James do in this situation? No defense of Jesse James or his actions comes from this camp. It just seems odd that the greater public is looking for more than Jesse James has already given. Taking responsibility is the first step, and he did this. Apology is the second step, and Jesse also did this.

Now, it's up to Sandra Bullock to decide whether or not she wants to work things out with Jesse James. Until this happens, the couple cannot move forward. What will happen when she does decide, though? If Sandra Bullock decides that she wants a divorce, Jesse needs to be a man, take responsibility, and let her go her own way without making it messy or costly for her. If she wants to work things out with Jesse, then everyone needs to back out of the picture and let it happen.

Even Michelle "Bombshell" McGee has done her damage, made some money, and gained a bit of fame (however negative), so what more can she ask for? Jesse? She can try, but this won't likely happen. What more can the public ask for? Blood? Well, this is against the law. Still, the paparazzi pursue Jesse as if they're out for it. Is it really as bad as it seems, though? Eonline.com says that it is as it reports Jesse having to drive off the road to stir up a cloud of dust just to deter the paparazzi that followed him.

Too, eonline.com reports that one of Jesse James's children actually called the police to the house, and it wasn't because of Jesse James or Sandra Bullock. Eonline.com tells that it was actually the media that caused some commotion. Now, it's true that Jesse James should have to endure the flip side of fame (due to his actions), but every person should also be able to exist in his/her own home and expect it to be a safe haven, including Jesse James. As well, his children are guilty of nothing more than being his children, so why would they have to suffer insecurity in their own home due to media?
