On a night that should be joyous, it is not a happy time in Salisbury Maryland. Sarah Haley Foxwell is still missing.

A nation-wide search is on for 11 year old Sarah who was abducted on Tuesday night. Law enforcement workers from local police to the FBI are all involved in the search for Sarah according to Sheriff Mike Lewis of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department.

She was said to be a happy and loving child who spent a lot of time with her little sister playing in their yard.

It will not be easy to celebrate Christmas when Sarah is still missing and her family says they will not celebrate until Sarah is home.

A prayer vigil is currently being held at Beaver Run Elementary in Salisbury, Maryland for Sarah. Many people have gathered to light candles and pray for the safe return of Sarah.

For those who wish to help, an organized search party will be gathering at Shorebirds Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland at 7 a.m. tomorrow, Christmas day. They are not guaranteeing we will be able to actively search but even the possibility is enough to get a lot of local citizens together.

You see, on the Delmarva Peninsula we have very close nit communities and we support each other. When Anitra Pirkle was killed earlier this year we as a community helped raise the money for her funeral so that her mother could bury her daughter with out worry or concern.

When Chuck Campbell was told he needed a double lung transplant we again came together as a community to help raise money for this procedure.

And as a brave little girl named Brooke Mulford has spent this year battling neuro-blastoma, we helped in any way we could from donations for her many hospital stays to cards and letters to cheer her.

Sarah is caucasian with blue eyes and brown hair that she usually wears in a ponytail. She weighs 78 pounds and is 4 foot 8 inches tall. She is 11 years old.

The suspect in custody is 30 year old Thomas James (T.J.) Leggs of Bennett Road in Salisbury, Maryland. He is a registered sex offender in both Wicomico County and the state of Delaware and is not co-operating with the authorities.

He was driving a 2003 truck champagne in color. Although police do currently know where the vehicle is they are asking that anyone who might have seen this vehicle or T.J. Leggs from 10 p.m. Tuesday night until 10 a.m. Wednesday morning please call the Wicomico C

Please, if you have any information on Sarah's whereabouts please contact the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department at (410) 548-4891.
