Update: Shocking Surprise for TNA Impact

Last nights episode of TNA Impact was being advertised as "the most shocking surprise of the year". TNA kept fans waiting until the very last minute of Impact. In that last minute a promo aired. This promo showed the feet of a superstar. The fans were only allowed to see black boots and a trench coat. The superstar was walking up a set of metal stairs in the video. The video ended by showing 3.3.11 on the screen. All signs in the video point to the return of Sting. Sting always hangs out in the rafters. This was TNA's way of showing that Sting will be returning to the rafters next week.

The big question is "how shocking was this surprise?" In a recent article "Shocking Surprise for TNA Impact" I revealed certain scenarios that the surprise might be. One of those scenarios was for the return of Sting. Since I predicted that Sting might be returning the promo was not shocking to me. Nor was I surprised by the promo. It's had to be surprised and shocked by something when you know it's coming. I think TNA made the mistake of letting fans know a surprise was coming. Besides the surprise was being advertised as "the most shocking surprise of the year". In my book a promo for Sting did not top The Rock's return to Monday Night Raw.
