UPDATE: Tim's Top Films of 2011

As I continue to update my best movie list through the end of the year, a few things have happened. Take a look now at my list. "J. Edgar" has moved into the top ten. That means others move up and one is out. That would be "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo." "The Artist" for me continues to climb and will most likely be No. 1 by the end of December. "War Horse" should rise, too. Meanwhile, "Midnight in Paris" dropped more than few notches.

Notes: "Hugo" shines and we will see about "Tinton." Oh, as for general movie-going fun, I loved "The Muppets." And, one more thing as this latest update concludes. Maggie Thatcher will not see "Iron Lady," according to the Daily Mail in London. It opens late December and while Meryl Streep is Oscar-bound for a nomination, the movie will be ignored for sure.
