Update the Workforce

Unemployment is rising and millions are out of work. Most are people with children to support. There just are not enough jobs available or will there be for at least ten years. Most good jobs are held by people who are waiting to retire but the social security retirement age is 62. If that law was changed to 55 it would give millions of over worked Americans the chance for an early retirement. It would also open up jobs for those that need them most--- young heads of households that have a family to support. But the Social Security fund would have to be replenished to pay for the millions that would choose early retirement. That would not be a problem if job holders had an increase in their Social Security taxes or the government paid the costs. High unemployment is the nations number one problem and the easiest one to solve. Millions of people can be quickly hired if early retirement was available.
