Making a living as an online writer requires a strong online presence to increase your profit and overall success. While working online, there is one area many online writers overlook; updating. Online writers must take the time to make updates to their online content in order to maintain a strong online presence and profit. There are many areas that an online writer must update, including websites, blogs, and content.

SEO Updates

If you create search engine optimized content, you must remember to update your keywords and phrases regularly. The topics people search for online change every day. A topic that was hot yesterday will only be a fraction of the past tomorrow. This is why it is essential to update your keywords and phrases. Your competition is always going to be changing when it comes to ranking on a search engine. By updating your SEO content regualalry you can ensure your search engine result's page ranking will remanin constant.

Website Updates

You must remember to update your website regularly as well. If your website is not updated regularly you can lose your flow of traffic. You must remember to update your resume regularly because if you submit an outdated resume to a potential client, it could end up costing you that writing gig. As you succeed throughout your writing career, your writing experiences are constantly changing; therefore, so should your resume. Make sure your contact information, URL's, and work experience are all current.

Profile and Biography Updating

It is equally as important to remember to update your online profiles and biographies regularly. This allows potential clients and readers to see your current writing experience. As your writing career grows, you want to highlight your success by keeping your profiles and bio's updated.
