Upgrading WordPress Blogs

Keeping Up with the Latest Versions of Wordpress Script

Nina Rotz
Blogging is changing every new day. Notable in blogging circles are WordPress and Google's Blogger. With over 120,000 new blogs being registered everyday it can prove to be a tricky affair getting your blog to come up in search results. It is reminiscent of finding a pin in the proverbial haystack. Whether you register for a new blog with Blogger or WordPress you have to optimize it to get it to be read. For WordPress bloggers here is some overview to ensure that your blogging bears some fruit.

The most common problem that has been seen is installation of WordPress upgrades. How can you upgrade your WordPress blog and what effect will this have on the website?

For the best results (good optimization and to make the blog sticky) you need to get correct versions of your scripts. If they are old make sure you upgrade them.

Any server that supports PHP and MySQL is enough to run this open-source WordPress upgrade. First, back up your data base and all your WordPress files. Verify these back ups and deactivate all your Plugins and download the WordPress package. Delete the old WordPress files and upload the new ones. At this point, simply run the WordPress upgrade program. Mark out a winning WordPress blog by updating your links, installing updated themes and then reactivate Plugins.

After that, provide unified blogging opportunities by adding security key definitions to the configuration.

But as a reminder, review what has changed in WordPress and remember to track these changes. In cases of page errors, it may mean that there is an old Plugin that does not work with the new code. When you start this upgrade, digital users may not access your blogs.

In WordPress, just look for the "administration panel" deactivate all Plugins that do not come with WordPress by default. Then reactivate them one by one because newer versions are packed with security updates, I would advice you not to roll back to the old fashion after an upgrade. It's part technical and part manual.

So if you are embarrassed to give people your URL, then this thorough make over sets your WordPress blog posts a part. Meaning a better chance of getting noticed by readers as a track back and the post's URL is left in the comment section of the Word Press website. And if you experience difficulties applying more detailed upgrade instructions, then I suggest that you go back to the old version and start a fresh.

When it comes to SEO, it's cool to combine text content and flash content. It's for one reason that Internet users only stop for creative flare. And they click on links that take them to accurate pages.
