Award-winning chef Vikram Sunderam treats you to authentic Indian fare with a modern twist. To make the most of your dining experience, opt for the Chef recommended tasting menu, which features four course or six course meal options. Wine pairing is optional. Vegetarian options are also available. Menu items feature new and interesting culinary delights like the zucchini tikki, asparagus uttapum, mango shrimp, tandoori trout, avocado banana chat, lamb Bukhara, plantains kofta, dhansaak rice and Amritsari kulcha.

"Dripping with style," Zagat Survey aptly describes Indique located on Connecticut Avenue N.W. , just a block away from the Uptown Theatre. Signature bold colors, rich tableware and sophisticated décor adorn the two -story courtyard layout.

The menu is a distinct blend of North and South Indian dishes. Begin your meal with appetizers, called first takes that includes innovative dishes like the crab tikki and mussels. Barbecue, or tandoor delights include the nouveau Simla mirch Masala, (whole green pepper stuffed with seasoned cheese, potato, cashew nuts, raisins). Indique takes a detour from the usual South Indian dosas and idlis, and serves appam made with fermented and ground rice. Visitors with a spicy palate may opt for the lamb vindaloo and chicken chettinad.

Indique does not operate for lunch on weekdays. Lunch hours are Friday through Sunday from noon to 3pm. It opens at 5.30pm for dinners daily.
