COLOR
Peace is shimmery, as lots of other Urban Decay shadows are, and a bright, bold, yet soft blue. By soft, I mean it is on the lighter side of the color spectrum, and almost an aquamarine color, even though Urban Decay describes it as turquoise, I don't see that much of a green undertone in it. It reminds me of Painkiller from the Show Pony Shadow Box, but a little lighter, a little more shimmery. It is a gorgeous pop of blue, and very bold, as most Urban Decay colors are. However, I still find Peace very easy to work with, and I find myself reaching for it all the time.
FORMULA
There is no difference in formula from Graffiti, but I can once again rave about how incredible the formula of their deluxe shadows is. After much evaluation, and clearing out the Stila makeup I didn't like, I have determined that my Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadows ARE my softest shadows. And yet, where Stila was SO lacking, they are also the most pigmented! One swipe and you have the color in the pot on your brush. They are very easily blendable with other Urban Decay shadows, and all shadows from other brands. I find them very creamy, in a weird way because they are not cream shadows, but they are that soft and blendable. I cannot put into words how much I adore the formula of the deluxe shadows! They are a product everyone should definitely have or at least try! I adore them.
FUNCTIONALITY
Peace can be used a crease, outer corner, or even VERY bold lid color, however, my favorite use for it is on the lower lash line. Not to say that it is limited! Because of the undertones, Peace looks good with purples and greens, which to me, is pretty unique for a blue since they usually go one way or the other. Again, as with Graffiti, this could be used subtly in an everyday look, but is more useable in special looks.
PRICE
Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadows are still priced at $18, and you still get more product in comparison to some other big name brands- nothing new to report there.
PACKAGING
The packaging of this eyeshadow is probably my favorite part. As you probably already know, the deluxe shadows have a different design for each color. Peace is, once again, not one of my favorite in the packaging department, but still cute and needed in my collection. Peace comes in a bright red compact with Urban Decay written in blue with some yellow dots behind it forming what looks like a comic book speech bubble. To the left, there is hand (could be foam fingers, could be a robot) that is giving a peace sign. Once again, this is one of the only items in makeup that I feel is worth collecting as there are 15 different designs on fifteen different colors. Who could resist that?
FINAL OPINIONS
I love this shadow more than I love Graffiti, which is really saying something. However, I don't think I will ever buy one of the deluxe shadows I don't like. These are one of those Urban Decay products that are really worth the extra money, and I consider these, especially this color, a staple in my makeup regimen. Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadows can be purchased at urbandecay.com, ulta.com, sephora.com, and Ulta or Sephora stores everywhere.
