Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box

Loving Urban Decay and their deluxe shadows as much as I do can be a dangerous thing. However, when they combine to form an affordable palette, I am the first one in line. This is my review of the Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box.

COLOR(S)

The Deluxe Shadow Box comes with nine different colors of their deluxe shadows. You get: Fishnet, Honey, Ransom, Graffiti, Zero, Peace, Shag, Scratch, and Underground. While I have some of these colors in the full size, I use this palette way more. With this, you can see what looks good together and what will make that complete look. Describing nine colors in-depth will be way too hard. So, I will give a brief description in order: Fishnet- blue-based pink/purple, Honey- pure gold, Ransom- blue-based deep purple, Graffiti- bright grass green, Zero- deep black with slight shimmer, Peace- bright turquoise, Shag- coppery-brown, Scratch- peachy-pink-brown, and Underground- medium-toned dirt brown. They all look great together and provide a plethora of look options.

FORMULA

Deluxe shadows are known for being soft and creamy. They blend really well and are super pigmented. They are the easiest shadows I have come across, and are great for the inexperienced. You d have to be gentle because they are so soft, but it is definitely worth it for the quality of makeup you get.

FUNCTIONALITY

Everyone knows that I think palettes are the best invention since canned bread. Seriously, they are portable and pick what colors to pair for you. Since this has neutrals and bright colors, it is a great year-round palette.

PACKAGING

The packaging is the same as the Foreshadow palette- purple velvet-felt material with the silver bead-mesh on the front. Not their sturdiest packaging, but still really secure.

PRICE

This retails at Urban Decay for $38. If you are a fellow Urban Decay-head, this is a truly great deal. It works out to about $4.25 per eyeshadow- what a steal!

FINAL OPINIONS

Deluxe Shadow Box is a true love of mine and I recommend it highly to those wanting to try the Urban Decay Deluxe Shadows. It has a great array of colors, the best formula ever, and is reasonably priced for how much you get. I love this palette dearly and subconsciously take it everywhere I go. The deluxe truly is better than the original.
