COLOR
Ecstasy is just that, ecstasy. It is a light/medium toned red-based purple/pink and is probably the most girly eyeshadow color I have seen to this date. It looks gorgeous all over the lid and is so pretty, I tend to wear it on its own. However, you can also use it on the lower lash line or as a crease color in a very light look. It can also be darkened up by applying a deeper purple in the crease. Like I said earlier, ecstasy is the perfect spring/summer color. However, unless you are doing purple smoky eyes, I don't see much use out of it in the fall/winter.
FORMULA
Of all the Urban Decay shadows I have, Ecstasy is probably the lightest. It is in no way sheer, but the color doesn't cake on or appear as vibrant as their others. It appears more natural and subtle and almost doesn't look like makeup. It blends extremely easily, making it very easy to work with. When you sheer it out, it lease a very nice purple iridescence, which I think is a great feature of the formula.
FUNCTIONALITY
While some may disagree, I think this is the perfect spring color and a wonderful summer color. You can also pair it with dark, smoky colors and use it in the fall. This color is also natural and subtle enough that I think a teen just starting to wear makeup could wear this everyday without a huge uproar. It looks great on all skin tones that I have seen it on and while subtle, can really make brown eyes pop.
PACKAGING
Ecstasy is a regular formula eyeshadow, so it is in the silver casing. A normal characteristic or Urban Decay, the packaging is adorable and very cool. The window on the front is much smaller than makes which I think is a plus. It makes it less susceptible to cracking but also lets you see the color.
PRICE
Ecstasy retails for $17 at Urban Decay.
FINAL OPINIONS
I think this is a great spring, flirty color that a lady of any age could look fabulous in. It is not in-your-face but is also noticeably accentuates your eyes. Being a purple person, I absolutely 100% recommend and adore this color for anyone.
