Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner- Instant Rock Glamour

I have always heard of the makeup trendy brand Urban Decay, but veered away from it because of its higher than average price tags. However, I love using eye makeup to play up my eyes and I always have had what my sister kindly dubs as "shiny object syndrome" where I am always attracted to something sparkling. So needless to say, I am attracted to sparkling eye shadows and eyeliner. I have always played it safe by using pencil eyeliners, but glitter pencil eyeliners do not seem to carry the same bold and glamorous effect as liquid ones. When I cam across Urban Decay's Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner collection I was immediately hooked.

The Heavy Metal collection boasts eight fun and flirty colors. "Air Guitar" is a sparkling, vivid blue color. "Catfight" is a sparkling bold magenta color. "Distortion" is a sparkling, iridescent clear color. "Glam Rock" is a sparkling, metallic silver color. "Groupie" is a sparkling, pretty pink color. "Metal Head" is a sparkling, royal purple color. "Midnight Cowboy" is a sparkling, flashing light gold. "Mullet" is a sparkling, grass green. "Spandex" is a sparkling, dark denim color. "Stagedive" is a sparkling, bright turquoise color. "Baked" is a sparkling, sunset bronze color. My all time favorites are "Spandex" and "Distortion". "Spandex" works great with darker colored eyeliner and eye makeup. Layer it on top of black eyeliner and get in instant smoldering, hard rock look. "Distortion" is a clear base with iridescent sparkles so it goes with anything and any color of eye makeup.

These are easy to apply. They come with a thin brush so it prevents from shaky hand mess-ups. Apply one coat for a subtle effect. Apply several coats (make you let each coat dry before reapplying) for a more bold and glamorous effect. It lasts the whole day without caking or smearing. The only downside is it can be a little difficult to remove, so eye makeup remover is a must! Each 0.25 oz tube retails for $18, but this goes a long, long way so it's definitely worth the price. These has been my first Urban Decay products purchased and these have been very impressive.....especially my eyes!
