COLOR
Jones is a bright orange and unlike Paradisco, true to color when swatched. It goes on metallic and shimmery and provides a gorgeous sweep of color. I really love this as a lid or crease color, sometimes even using it for a pop of color under the lash line. It is almost a slightly toned down version of a tube of Lash Blast, but is highly, highly pigmented and is, in my opinion, a great dupe for what I want Paradisco to be.
FORMULA
As all other Urban Decay shadows, Jones is almost creamy in texture, very soft, and amazingly pigmented. It applies fabulously wet or dry and is very easy to blend with any other color under the rainbow. I think Urban Decay shadows are really a diamond in a heap of rhinestones because all of them are just as pigmented, soft, blendable, creamy, and gorgeous.
FUNCTIONALITY
While this color is fairly bright, it can also be blended with neutrals/rusts for a nice fall look or with yellow for a summer look. I think this is a great color for anytime but winter and provides lots of different mixing opportunities. It is not really a red-based or yellow-based orange, and works well on either color spectrum. I can't really imagine a combination with this color that would be tacky or crazy.
PACKAGING
Urban Decay single shadows are packaged in a silver compact with their brand name and signature star in the middle. It has a clear window on top so you can see what color is inside and overall, feels pretty sturdy. It is practically the same size as a MAC compact, detailing being the only real difference and is great for a purse or bag.
PRICE
Jones and all other single shadows retail for $16, wherever you can find Urban Decay products. You get the same amount as a MAC shadow, but honestly, this is WAY more pigmented than any MAC shadow I have come across. I think this is a definite buy because of the creaminess and pigmentation. For those of you who don't like shimmer like this one, Urban Decay has a line of matte shadows with a gold compact instead of a silver one. I cannot tell you what those are like since I have not tried one, but my guess would be very pigmented.
FINAL OPINIONS
I am in love with this Urban Decay shadow and all of the other ones I have tried. Whether it is the amazing color selection, the creaminess, the pigmentation, the blending possibilities, or the overall quality, this is an incredible product that definitely deserves more of a spotlight.
