Urban Decay Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara Review

All Hype

Urban Decay is a very popular brand of cosmetics. Not only are their products cruelty-free and of great quality, but the packaging is like an artwork. I had never heard of Urban Decay until a few years ago when I was surfing Youtube videos for makeup tutorials for a wedding (I was the maid of honor). Urban Decay is still a fairly new brand but is quickly growing in popularity. Their most notable products are their eyeshadow primers and their single eyeshadows. I haven't tried many Urban Decay products as of yet, but one product of theirs that I have tried recently was Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara.

Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara was design to give your lashes length, strengthen, separates, curls, brightens and thickens without the clumping and flaking. This mascara brush was designed to aid the mascara. Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara brush is a plastic but flexible brush that has rows of bristles that look like tiny little combs that's meant to help coat your lashes from root to tip. The mascara formula was meant to nourish and soften lashes.

What I liked about Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara was that it defined and separated my lashes just like it said it would. It also didn't smudge, smeared or flake on me, and I've been using this mascara frequently over the past few weeks. I find that it held my curls very well too, and lasts all day. Just like it claimed, there was no clumping either.

There were several aspects to Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara that I didn't like too. I would've liked it if this mascara was available in other colors instead of just black. I'm not a fan of the plastic comb brushes either. I found it too flexible and thus harder to control. I didn't like the comb because it looked like my lashes weren't getting coated with mascara, and actually made them look thinner. This mascara doesn't come in waterproof either. Worst of all, it did absolutely nothing in terms of lengthening and volumizing. My lashes just looked sparse with this Urban Decay mascara. Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara cost $22 for a regular size tube, and that's a price that I thought was too steep for the quality.

My overall conclusion on Urban Decay's Skyscraper Multi-Benefit mascara is that it comes in a nice looking tube and does have some positive aspects, but the cons for me outweighed the pros. It didn't do the main things that I look for in a mascara and that is lengthening and thickening. It's definitely not worth spending $22 on in my opinion.
