Urban Flats in Snellville, Georgia

Urban Flats was founded in 2004 and ever since then it has been a neighborhood favorite. As soon as you walk in the door you are transported to a New York or California Loft. Its design is very contemporary and full of lots of unique touches!

I had the pleasure of having lunch at Urban Flats at the Avenues at Webb Ginn recently and was pleasantly surprised by the menu choices. You can choose from soups, salads to various entrees and of course your choice of their famous flatbreads. Just to give you a little glimpse into the Urban Flats menu, their flat breads include: Turkey, BBQ Chicken, Veggie, Steak and Meatball just to name a few.

Although those flat breads sound great, they also have wonderful starters like lobster Mac and cheese, creamy spinach dip, yellowfin tuna and so much more. I will have to say that you're going to have troubles here my friend, as you'll not know how to begin this journey at Urban Flats.

I visited the Urban Flats' Snellville location inside the Avenues at Webb Ginn. This location is so desirable; particularly for the ladies as The Avenues at Webb Ginn has many shops to choose from. Therefore you can make it a day of lunch and shopping. However, it works well for dinner too as there is a Movie Theatre close by which would make it a great date night of good eats and fun!

I choose the Urban Chicken salad which was not on flat bread, but comes on a buttery croissant with honey mustard and was served with one of their signature side salads. The wedge salad has been a favorite of mine for some time now and it's so simple to create. The wedge is made up of Romaine heart wedges, cucumber, tomatoes, blue cheese and warm bacon topped with wasabi- ranch dressing and it is fabulous!

You know I cannot round out a review without talking about something sweet. Urban Flats has several dessert options and you can try everything from crème brule to a banana split. However, I choose the chocolate fondue which had an assortment of Strawberries, Bananas, marshmallows, pineapples and shortcake. So, you're thinking how do I tackle this dessert? Well, what you do is grab a bit of the shortcake and fruit and marshmallow and dip it in the wonderful hot fondue chocolate and just wait for the flavors to start dancing in your mouth. Can you say yum? I will warn you that the dessert can feed about 4 people, so don't try this one on your own.

The bottom line: Urban Flats serves some of the best cuisine in a lovely atmosphere and you can enjoy lunch for about $9.00 to $12.00 depending upon what you choose from the extraordinary menu. Urban Flats is a great place for a birthday party, anniversary party or even a baby or wedding shower. Check out your local listing for an Urban Flats nearest you.
