News from the Gulf gets worse every day. Animals are covered in oil and the leak continues.

"In affected states, local government agencies and animal welfare organizations are asking for assistance in their conservation efforts," states a press release from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA).

"An aggressive clean-up operation is underway to secure the source of the spill, recover the spilled oil, and protect environmentally sensitive sites," states Janet Pace, executive director, Louisiana Serve Commission, Office of the Ltnt. Governor in a statement. "We appreciate deeply the nation's outpouring of support and the many offers of assistance."

The Advocacy Department at MSPCA in Boston needs a volunteer who can crop and re-size photos to use on their website and newsletters.
