US Deficit

Why is it so High?

The USA is big brother to everyone. As being such, the US has spent more monies on foreign goods and services than they have sold. Creating a multi-billion dollar deficit, which with each passing year grows, larger and larger?

The US has been trying to create programs and regulations to help open worldwide trading in hopes of creating more profitable US companies. However, so far they have been unsuccessful in generating the income needed to relieve this debt.

The US continues investment trends into foreign accounts in attempt to create a relationship that will benefit all countries involved. The US shows this good faith and plans to cash in the faith when they are most dire. Yet, because of business trends and the depression setting into the US from off shoring, the US may be too far into debt without anyone to help. The US acting as big brother causes a ruffling of opinion of the US in foreign countries and as the US creates debts to 'aid' these other countries, these countries are smiling knowing that the US is digging a deeper grave.

The larger spectrum of world economy is constantly changing. Most would like to believe it is changing for the better by offerings like World Bank, and revisions to the Free Trade Agreements. These items allow all countries of the world to participate in economic growth and prosperity, by bridging the gap of importing and exporting goods across boarders to the benefit of everyone. Some countries are growing richer with these treaties and agreements while others are still fighting for survival in this dog eat dog economy.

The US seems to be suffering the bad end of the stick on all of the tables. This is for the US involvement is most forefronts than any other country or establishment and US is seen as a very prosperous country to begin with. This is hardly the case; with the huge amount of debt, the US holds, in not only foreign investments but also its own. The US economy itself is falling into a depressionistic state from several factors related to free trade, which most experts will deign excises. The loss of jobs to off shoring is said to 'open up' the workers to do other things, but as they are being 're-trained' into new jobs they are not working, which in turns means they are not purchasing. This lack of purchasing creates a desire for businesses to off shore more to save even more money, which in turn more people lose their jobs and so on and so forth.

Who is really benefiting from these agreements? It is mostly the big businesses that are reaping the rewards of cheap labor and discounts from other countries for exporting/importing of their goods.

The US does not seem to understand how much they are hurting their own people currently. The US is too busy looking at a different picture than the one underneath their noses. Maybe some of these changes will aid and help in the long term view of things, but for the most part, people do not need things to change ten years from now, they need to put food on their table today.

The US tries to help things by taking even investments to pay off others, and creating an even larger debt. In other words, the US is trying to pay off one credit card with another and still ending up in greater repose.

In my humble views I believe the US needs to cut itself off from some of the other worldly events, and allow itself to 'rebuild' itself. American jobs for American people, creating American made products. That is what the US was built upon, a strong work ethic in creating products for Americans. As soon as businesses saw the possibility for larger personal incomes by off shoring and multi-national franchises, the US economy started to decline for the worst. The US needs to go back to basics if they wish to eliminate their debt. If there were American jobs for Americans, Americans would spend more money, which would increase the GPD of the country. Lift moral and give pride back to the privilege of living in the US. As it is now, America is home of the free lunch to everyone but their own.

There are many theories and plans on the table concerning world economics and the development of a worldwide equilibrium. However, until there is only a single flag flying for the world's development there will be a constant conflict of interest between the people their society and their leaders. Each country is trying to figure out the betterment of their own people while taking something away from another group of people and washing their hands of it in the name of 'its only business'.

Not only are the larger multi-national businesses suffering because of this. The small businesses are suffering as well, for the loss of costumers due to loss wages from the large business creates backlash that is felt from the upper most executive to the janitors and jobless. If a business is not creating a profit they cannot hire anyone and if no one is hired there is no consumer to pay for the product. It is all a very vicious cycle where someone has to decide what well benefit everyone and not just the one.

What is the bottom line of any businesses though, to generate income and finical rewards for their investors? Most businesses will sacrifice morals and ethics to do as such, and do not worry about what it is doing to the 'little guy' just as long as the investors are happy. I agree that the business does need to generate an income, or what is the purpose of the business, yet, at the cost of hurting so many other people, is not worth it. There needs to be a line drawn somewhere and these larger multi-national business need to remember where their loyalties really lay. With their investors, or their consumers, or just a personal project to pad their own pocket?

The US economic system needs a serious overhaul of rules and regulations. The current economic state of these billions of dollars of debt need to be looked at as a serious affair and not just thrown off to the next generation like it has been in the previous years.

American people need to do the following things to make the US
strong again : 1) Require any country that wants to sell products
to us register thru the US Chamber of Commerce so that they will
buy the same amount of dollars as we buy from them,
    2) Companies that send 2/3 of their jobs overseas pay Flat 30% tax.
    3) Companies that create 2/3 of their jobs in the US pay Flat 15% tax.
    4) All american workers pay Flat 20% income tax rate, with deduction
    for 1 home only.
