Chaplain Black expanded on the week's theme of "Share the Hope" with an inspiring message for an enthusiastic congregation to "super-size" their faith in these times we live in. His message began with humor, relating faith to a fast food, super-sizable item. In his sermon, the Chaplain recalled the first time he heard the words, "Would you like to have that super sized?" He then transitioned into a more serious invitation for all to put their faith in God and to be willing to be part of His plan.
Chaplain Black spoke also on his experiences that led him from the hood of Baltimore to Capital Hill. You can read the inspirational story in his book, From the Hood to the Hill: A Story of Overcoming.
To wrap up the day, the Chaplain answered questions in a Q&A session that Saturday evening. You can view Chaplain Black's television interview on Really Living, as he discusses his book. See the video here.
A number of other distinguished speakers will present seminars during the Camp Meeting week. Seminars include:
• Food for Thought
• How to Reach Your Neighbors for Christ
• Introduction to Adventist Community Services Disaster Response
