"Life-time fans like me!" (Phillip Chambley, original author of "Why Did Sharona Leave Monk?") will most likely continue to watch these historical episodes for the "Next 100 years or more because of re-runs".
Hopefully, these dedicated year after year fans will also never forget the truly talented actors that made this beautiful and TV colourful show called "Monk" such an award-winning event in television history! -------------
"As great fans! Let us not never forget these incredible actors like" Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), Lieutenant Randy Disher (Jason Gray-Stanford), Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), Natalie Teeger (Traylor Howard), Sharona's son Benjy (Max Morrow and the original actor Kane Ritchotte), original deceased Dr. Charles Kroger (Stanley Kamell), and the most recent Dr. Neven Bell (Hector Elizondo).
Even "Monk's beautiful blond haired wife Trudy Monk" (Melora Hardin) portrayed in his day-dreams and even heart-loving episodes reminds Monk of "How much any man can miss his wife?" Which can make TV viewers cry at times? Even Captain Stottlemeyer finally realized in one episode, you can never forget about your loving wife?-------------
Life-long viewers of this hit USA Network TV show simply called "Monk" will never forget the deceitful 500 lb. millionaire man "Dale the Whale Biederback" originally portrayed by famous actor Tim Curry. And the shy, but extremely intelligent writer mail order instruction-book Monk's brother Ambrose (John Turturro) played some of the most remarkable episodes regarding the "Halloween candy and the next door killer neighbor's cherry pie!"---------
"Unfortunately, what a lot of Monk's TV viewers did NOT realize whom is the creative genius behind this lovable well-written character?" His name is David Hoberman, whom ironically also suffers from TV show Monks Obsessive-Compulsive-Disorder.
Lovable in-person David has comically claimed in interviews that he can NOT walk on cracks in the side-walk and must touch each pole at the same time while walking? "And loves too clean things!" The same as his character Monk!----------
The two creators and original writers of this historical USA Network TV show Monk are Andy Breckman and David Hoberman. Talented writer and production artist Hoberman admits that one of his greatest TV shows in life was detective "Columbo" starring Peter Falk back in the 1970's.
He also states he had a fantastic belief in the writings of "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle" who wrote the great detective adventures of Sherlock Holmes.---------- This historic TV writer/creator of "Monk" called David Hoberman has recently announced that his next follow-up USA Network show is called "Uncle Nigel" somewhere in the year 2010 which also up-standing USA Network has the year of 2009's finest award-winning best famous television shows called "White Collar and Royal Pains".------------ on nationwide Comcast cable and Direct TV.
56 year- old actor Tony Shalhoub (Monk) and his beautiful film actress wife Brooke Adams have recently stated to the "Wall Street Journal A&E" on November 27, 2009 that they have started working on the Broadway stage-production play called "Lend Me a tenor". Directed by one of their best friends Stanley Tucci. Whom also played a comical Hollywood "copy" of Monk sometime during these eight seasons.---------------
Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) has apparently made NO statements to the media press regarding his next project after leaving Monk? Whether it will be a TV series or a big screen theater role? Which ironically some viewers still remember him as being the "weird and bad guy" dancing around in the "Silence of the Lambs" in the hit 1991 movie starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins.
Most likely the hit USA Network TV show called "Monk" will live-long and prosper as Spock used to say in the early days of Star-Trek in the 1960's! Possibly exceeding the ratings of Seinfeld and I Love Lucy re-runs! Fans and even future generation TV viewers to come in the next decades or even centuries will always love this TV show called "Monk!"-----------
