Use Your Blinker When You Are Changing Lanes!

I absolutely hate it when people are driving and they do not signal their intent to change lanes. They just turn the wheel and pull right in front of me. I have been in numerous close calls with people who have not signaled that they want to move into my lane. If you give me a chance to see that you want over, then I will be more than happy to let you over. The problem is, at times I am in a driver's blind spot and they cannot see that I am driving next to them. If I see their blinker start flashing, I will be aware that they are about to cut in front of me because they cannot see me. It is not their fault that they cannot see me considering no one can see cars around them when the cars are in certain locations. There has been many incidents where I was able to slow down to make their transition easy for them as to prevent a possible accident. At least give me a quick flash from the yellow light before you move over for the sake of not having high insurance premiums and to save money in the future, that is all for which I am asking.

One thing that I am very grateful for is diesel truck drivers who utilize their blinker. I know that they cannot see me when I am in numerous positions around their big, huge truck. When I see their lights flashing on the side, I know that I must take action to ensure that I do not end up getting run over. I do like the movie The Fast and the Furious, but I am not desiring a reenactment, although that would make for one hell of a story that no one would ever believe. It is simply not worth the money that would be lost in repairs.

There is a reason why we have these features on our cars. I hope that everyone will see that I am not attempting to blow this out of proportion, but I am asking for a little courtesy on the road to save some money in the long run. The last thing that anyone will ever want to go through is an accident. I have enough trouble with my insurance company without have any citations or accidents on my record. I can only imagine how horrible things could get with an accident, not to mention all the money I could lose to my insurance company even if it is not my fault. I know that I will be happy that I pay for my insurance every month someday when it comes in handy, but for now I want to deal with them as less as possible and give them as little of my money as possible.

I believe that we can all make the world a little safer and save each other a lot of money in the form of cheaper insurance premiums. Maybe you are doing your part to keep the road safe, and I thank you for that. The problem is that if one person causes more risk for an insurance company, the insurance firm will probably raise the rates for everyone that they carry for the sake of not losing money. We have to live together whether we like it or not, so please, let's share our roads responsibly and save some money.
