Use Call of Duty: Black Ops to Improve Your Business Strategy

The world of gaming is overrun by several different types of games. There are role play games, third-person shooters, and first person shooters to name a few. One of the most significant genres which can relate to the world of business is the first person shooter, specifically Call of Duty: Black Ops. This game has set the world afire since it released November 9, 2010.

The situations haven't changed from the previous Call of Duty releases, but for the business looking for a different angle to approach a challenging business climate, Call of Duty: Black Ops is the perfect business model.

Call of Duty: Black Ops uses the multi-player to incorporate teamwork to accomplish goals. This should sound similar to your current business model and in the event you are not using Call of Duty: Black Ops as a business model, you should.

Teamwork

One of the multi-player games on Call of Duty: Black Ops is capture the flag. As a team, your objective is to capture more flags than your opponent and deliver them safely to your base. The flags are not easy to acquire and require teams to defend the flag carrier on their way to the base. Looking at your business, you have a goal or objective that has to be obtained. When someone acquires the objective, you and your team have to defend it at all cost in order to be successful.

Leadership

The length of time and objectives achieved during the course of Call of Duty: Black Ops determines your rank. The more objectives completed, the higher rank. In the realm of Call of Duty: Black Ops, the higher ranking players are looked upon as the more skilled and knowledgeable. They are looked upon as the go to players for the novice gamers. Using Call of Duty: Black Ops in your business, couldn't new hires learn from the experience of the higher "ranking" employees? The morale of new employees would be higher if they looked at the more experienced employee for guidance.

Recognition

During the multi-player maps on Call of Duty: Black Ops you are rewarded for your achievements. Whether it be a contract fulfilled or a streak, you receive what you put into it. What Call of Duty: Black Ops teaches us is if we follow the rules of the game, we will get the recognition we deserve. Another aspect of Call of Duty: Black Ops is the achievements are shared among other members of the team. Not every reward is designed for every person, so share the rewards for the betterment of the team.
Not business relies on the principles of gaming, but they should. Call of Duty: Black Ops is not only a great game, but a defining part of the business culture.
