Solar energy is available to everyone. You do not have to pay monthly bills in order to use it. Anyone that would love to reap the benefits of using solar energy as a power source should think of the vast number of tools that work with it. Many home owners already know the cost benefits of using solar energy as their main power source. Considering this, I soon started to think about using solar powered charging products. As my mobile device collection grows, using a power source that is not totally dependent on hungry batteries would be an excellent alternative. Mobile warriors that travel to many different countries will not have to worry about what plug fits into what outlet. Using a solar power charging station could prove to be very useful to many of us.

The Soldius 1 Universal Solar Charger with iPod Kit includes the solar charger, a mini usb cable and several tips that will fit a variety of mobile devices. This charging station is not compatible with all devices, so you will need to go to the company's website for more details. If your mobile device works with a mini usb cable then you will not need to use one of the included adapter tips. The compact and slim design make it ideal for traveling from place to place. It will not take up a major amount of space in your purse, backpack, or briefcase. The charger can fit virtually anywhere because of its slim size.

Setting up the Soldius 1 Universal Charger is completely easy. The only thing that is required is to open the panels and allow it to soak up as much available sunlight as possible. It does not matter if it is direct or indirect light because both will do just fine. The only drawback of using this device is that my mobile devices needed to have at least a partial charge. I noticed that if the mobile device is completely dead, then the Universal Charger could not bring it back to life. If you are stranded in the desert and your mobile device has been completely drained, then using this charger may not be your best option. However, regular standard use that depletes your battery life somewhat is the best way to use this charging tool.

The overall impression of the Soldius 1 Universal Charger is that is a useful tool to have, but don't depend on it to charge your power hungry device like notebook computer. Placing it in direct sunlight with an mobile device that has about a 30% battery life works great. Although I would not depend on it as my only charging unit, it is still a great find. Solar energy is a wonderful alternative to all of those confusing charging units have way too many attachments.
