You can use your old pair of shoes for planters and either put them in your garden or on a window sill inside your home. It will make a plant look cheerful. Always put a small plastic lid underneath the ones that you put inside your home so that it will catch any of the leftover water that you put in the plant.
Remember that shoe polish works wonders when you want to change the look of a pair of shoes. You can also use glitter on them to make them even more glamorous. Glue the glitter on the shoes and then use a protective spray on the shoes to protect them. There are also several different types of gemstones you can attach to shoes to turn them into a brand new look. Don't forget that you can use fur to dress up a pair of shoes, also. If you do something like this you want to make sure that you wear them on a good weather day so that they don't get ruined.
Still another way to take care of your old shoes is to have a shoe swapping party. You can have your friends bring their old shoes and trade them out. One thing to remember when you are doing a party like this is that everyone should be able to wear the same sized shoe. Of course, you can also just give your friends your old shoes if you want to do that.
If you have a lot of decent shoes that you no longer want, you can give them away to the poor people rather than throwing them away. There are plenty of places that will take the donations to give to others that are less fortunate.
Suppose that you simply cannot part with your old shoes then you need to get a good shoe section in your home and put them in shoe bags or shelving. This way you will be able to see what you have and wear them when you want to. Keep them looking nice and repair old heels when you can and then you will have plenty of different pairs to wear to create different looks.
So before you start putting the box of shoes out in the garbage consider the different uses for them above. There are plenty of great things you can use them for, so let your imagination run wild and see how many other ideas you can find for yourself.
