Use Product Recommendations to Help Build Your Creditability In Affiliate Marketing

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your credibility and build the trust of your customers that you have worked so hard to get. The use of product recommendations is one of the techniques and tactics that can be learned easily.

One of the more important ways to increase your affiliate marketing bottom line and sales is through the use of product recommendations. This can be one of the most effective ways to promote a product. If your customers and visitors believe that you have enough trust in the product, then they will more likely to trust your recommendations. Be very careful when using this approach though, if you start promoting everything you see by recommendation, your credibility will actually wear thin. It is easy to lose your credibility, especially when your recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit.

Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, this may make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility.

Furthermore, if your visitors are truly interested in the product, then they will be more than happy to learn what is good about the product, what is not so good, and how well the product will work for them.

When you are recommending a product, there are certain things to remember that will make it work more effectively and to your advantage. Make sure that you sound like a true and leading expert in your field. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche based on your recommendations, they are more likely to make a purchase from you. On the other hand, if you are not exuding confidence and self-assurance in your endorsement of the product, they will probably feel the same way and will go in search of another product or service which is better suited to their needs.

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering new and unique solutions they would not get anywhere else. Do not be afraid to show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Include testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in the related field of course. Avoid using to much hype. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. It is best to appear cool and self-assured about the product that you are recommending. Remember,your prospects are not stupid. They are turning to you as an expert and may have already done there research and know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they are more likely to buy from you, and you will gain a happy customer for life, but if you don't, they may go and look at what your competitors are offering.

When recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies, if possible. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to help promote there products, but very few people do this when promoting affiliate products. Try to offer something that may even have some information about your products or services you are recommending.

Before you promote products that carry your recommendation, it is wise that you should try and test the product and support for yourself. Do not run the risk of promoting a bad product or service just because everyone else is promoting it. Just remember how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your customer and visitors. All this can be destroyed by making one big mistake on your part. If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in, and use in your business. Test the product support before you begin to make sure that the people you are referring it to will not be left high and dry when they have a question or a problem.

Have a look at your competitors site and see what strategies they are using. Try to focus on and recommend what the others are not and what you feel makes this product better for you and your customers. Try product recommendations and be among the few who use it to their full advantage.
