Use Your SD Chip to Transfer Pictures to Your Computer
I Used My Camera's 1 Gig Chip to Transfer Files to Another Computer
Simply plug your USB port adaptor of the card reader, insert chip and go to the files on your computer and copy and paste them onto the portable F: drive or wherever your card reader says its connected to. Then with the files loaded, unplug the USB port and switch it over to the new computer you want to share it with. And copy the files from the F: drive to the file you create in Mydocuments.
It's a lot better than copying everything on a disk or burning a CD. And is a little time consuming, but it helps you get files out of one computer to another. Once you have your files in your new computer simple go back to the F: drive on My computer and delete all the selected copies now that you are done with them. Now you have a free SD disk to get more documents from the other computer or if you are finished, you can go out and take pictures.
I am not a computer genius, but I learned this neat trick from my computer programming brother and it has saved me a lot of time. You can simply copy entire files and put them on another computer this way. For big files like lots of music it might take some time. But it really is a neat way to transfer documents.
I was getting tired of using my old computer because it kept shutting down on me while I was working on Word and that's not good, So now I transferred files over to my other computer and we'll see how it works out. I'm not complaining because my old computer was bought four years ago and I can still use it but for important things I want a newer computer to work on. Otherwise it damages the Word file I am working on and causes all sorts of problems.
Maybe its just me, but I like to know how to work my computer, and I wanted to get my files before the whole thing was impossible to save. Now I have a backup of important documents and I feel secure that I have another four years to go.
