3 Tips to Plan Your Wedding Through Technology

Planning a wedding can be challenging due to factors such as location, dates, season, invitation list and choosing menu items. In addition, oftentimes friends and loved ones live across the miles yet want to be included and contribute to the process. How can you pull all this together so it is not overwhelmingly stressful? Well, the use of technology has been beneficial for big business, work at home employment, and various types of professions. Therefore, why not use this same method to keep your wedding organized? It is time to make use of the technology that is at your fingertips and pull all the necessary persons together that will help to make this date happen.

1. Facebook. Do you have a Facebook account? If so, why not use it as a great way to stay connected and keep everyone informed. On this site, you can post pictures of items such as the cake, dresses, and tuxedos. This allows the persons who are at a distance to give feedback and consistently be involved. In addition, you may be provided with ideas you had not considered such as a good caterer, where to purchase flower arrangements, and a great place to locate wedding attire. This really helps with comparison shopping and gaining helpful input.

2. Develop an online calendar. Do you have a Yahoo or Google account that may allow you access to an online calendar? Once this is developed, you can allow others access to it which may help to keep you all on the same page. This can be very helpful when it comes to the wedding date countdown. Through the use of the calendar, everyone may be able to see what their tasks are and when each will be accomplished. This may also allow the bride and groom to consider a list-of- things-to-do as they transition through the process. As result, there may be no stone left unturned.

3. Email. Also, there is good old-fashioned email. Create your group contact list and name it "wedding". This way you know that these are all the people who need the critical information regarding your wedding plans. Encourage this group to maintain the same list so they may all be in consistent contact. This sure beats calling or emailing each person individually. Overall, this is a true time-saver.

As mentioned earlier, consider how to incorporate technology into your wedding planning process. Such a method can allow for consistency in information sharing and time management. Take a moment to give it a try and see how this affects your planning.
