Use of the Word Roll and Role

Later I came to know
That he wanted me
to play the role.

He asked me how many
Kinds of rolls I knew.

I told him that I knew
The roll of cloth,
The roll of newsprint,
The roll of carpet,
And of course,
The camera roll or
The photographic roll.

He asked me whether
I have tasted the bread-roll,
When I said no,
He took me home,
Asked his wife to prepare
The bread roll.

she did it with pleasure,
And they were tasty and
Delicious.

I came back home happily.
