When a company cares to reach out to the next generation in its field it makes a statement. The CTE program at Parkside High school encourages local business owners to do just that, and Scott Sawyer Sr., owner/operator of US Energy Efficiency Group LLC (USEEG), answered the call.

"It's great to be able to visit the students in the HVAC class and advise them of the more energy efficient alternatives that the textbooks don't really cover yet." Sawyer said.

On his first visit to the class Sawyer brought with him a solar panel that USEEG had designed.

"We have 14 students in the HVAC program," said instructor John Maguire, "and they were all excited to learn what Mr. Sawyer had to say."

Blending HVAC and energy efficiency is the basis behind USEEG, a company now embarking on their fourth year of service to the Delmarva area.

"Teaching these young adults, who are about to enter my trade, to look beyond the basic "just get the job done" attitude," Sawyer continued, " and too see how they can make a customer's home not only comfortable but more efficient will send a better brighter generation of technicians to this field."

"The students look forward to Mr. Sawyers, visits," said Maguire, "and are excited about solar energy as a rising alternative. Because of USEEG's presence, the students have embarked on trying to build a panel of their own."

The CTE program encourages all business owners and trade technicians to share their knowledge and experience with the students in its classes.

USEEG issues the challenge to other's in the community to take the initiative to help the next batch of technically minded workers learn and grow.

The owner of this company has made promises he has not kept. In fact he has gone out of his way to break his promises. I would never do business with him again.
