Many investors today are giving $6,000.00, $10,000.00 or $30,000.00 to start up a company for a 5% of its total shares. Many investment companies still require 20% or 40% ownership of the company if they are going to invest $30,000.00-$1,000,000.00 or more.
The reality of these days is that many tech companies only require a small investment to run, because almost all its software is free, like MySql database, PHP programming language, and many other tools. Now thanks to the Internet we can do market research at a fraction of the cost compared with big budget companies dedicated exclusively to this aspect of business. Today you can reach the world if you have a Google Adwords account or a Yahoo Search Marketing account, and you will pay only if someone visits you website.
If you want to set up a company our advice is that you must take advantage of the Internet to reduce your start up costs. Also you have to write a business plan before the creation of your corporation or LLC. The next step is finding a investor. We have found out a good site that might be useful for you, and this site is RaiseCapital. We think this is the best place you can go if you want to get an investor for your business, at least this is the best resource for my personal use. They only charge you almost $30 to publish your idea, and that is all. Also you can put some pictures and videos to attract your investors, but they recommend you to use plain text and a right to the point writing style.
We recommend you try to get investors for your business venture because this is the cheapest way we know to get capital for our business, and not only that. Many investors offer advice and their connections to get you business to the top.
