Uses for an Anonymous Online Web Survey

Jamie Brown
An anonymous online web survey is an online questionnaire that allows you to ask a group of people questions without revealing their names and personal information. There are a few online websites that offer these online surveys for free or fee. People will be more likely to take the survey knowing that it's anonymous and they will be more honest. Think about it, if your boss asked you to fill out a survey about how good a job you think he's doing, would you tell the truth and nothing but the truth? There are a number of uses for an anonymous online web survey for both business people and individuals.

Survey Your Employees

If you're a supervisor, it's important to keep a direct line open between you and your employees. There could be a mutiny rising amongst the ranks, and you'd never know it unless you asked. An anonymous online web survey will allow you to submit a link to your crew (tell them to copy and paste it into the browser) and get real, honest feedback. Of course, you should ask specific questions in the questionnaire so that it won't become a free for all.

Find Out What Your Customers Think

As a business owner, an anonymous online web survey will allow you to get great feedback from a sampling of your customers. For example, maybe you need to find out what customers think about a new product you've just released. Get feedback on that and ask what the customer thinks will improve on the current product.

Ask for Feedback from Your Friends

Maybe you're trying to make a change personally. It can be hard to see yourself from the perspective of others. An anonymous online web survey will allow you to get feedback from your friends, family members, and colleagues. Again, they won't feel inhibited in their commentary, because you won't know who made the comments. But sometimes it's good to hear the truth, even if it hurts. If you see a pattern in the comments, even better. You know it's definitely a problem and not just one jealous or angry acquaintance. Honest feedback will help you to pinpoint what you need to change in order to be a more successful person personally.
