Uses for Blow Dryers

Blow dryers are one of the beauty tools that most everyone has and most of these only get used on wet hair. But did you know that there are more uses for them than just wet heads? Some of these uses will help with cleaning up around the house or drying other things not just hair.

In the bathroom you can use the blow dryer to dry your hair. Most folks already know this, but you can also use your blow dryer to defog your mirror so you can see what you are doing. When the hot steam from your shower hits your mirror and fogs it up all you have to do is use the warm air from your blow dryer to get rid of it. Nice, easy and quick, what more could you ask for?

When cleaning the house there are several chores that the blow dryer can be use for. If you are dusting and have a high shelf that needs dusted or under an appliance that needs to be dusted, use the blow dryer to blow the dust away. This is easier than climbing up on something to get to a high shelf and use a dust rag or trying to move an appliance that is too heavy and hurting yourself. Also, if you have discovered that your favorite candle has dripped wax onto a table you can clean up this mess with the help of a blow dryer. Use a knife blade and scratch as much of the wax up as you can then use the warm setting on the blow dryer to soften up the dripped wax. Now remove the wax with a paper towel.

Did you know that you can take a bandaid off easier with a blow dryer? Everyone knows that taking a bandaid off of your skin hurts really bad, but with a little help from your blow dryer this procedure can be less painful. Simply use the warm air setting on the blow dryer and let it blow on the bandaid for a few minutes. Then remove the bandaid.

A blow dryer can come in handy when you are traveling too. Yes, you can dry your hair with it after showering or swimming, but you can also dry hand washed garments with it. Place the hand washed garment on the shower rod or on the towel rack then let the blow dryer do the rest.

These are just a few of the things that can be done with a blow dryer other than drying your hair.
