Uses for Clorox Bleach

Although there are many tricks for achieving streak-free glassware and dishes, such as using a mixture of lemon juice and vinegar, adding a bit of Clorox to your dishwasher is an easy way to return the sparkle to your dishes, stemware and glasses. Clorox can be used regularly, and will not harm your dishes or glassware.

Step 1

Fill dishwasher with plates, cups, utensils and stemware and add dish soap.

Step 2

Add 1/2 cup of Clorox bleach to the wash cycle. Add 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle to neutralize the bleach. You can use any type of bleach for this performance.

Step 3

Wait until the cycle is complete and unload your dishwasher. The contents should sparkle.

Step 4

You can also clean your dishwasher by adding on cup Clorox bleach in a bowl on the bottom rack. Turn on and cycle through.Skill

Other uses for Clorox bleach:
  • Always wait until your dishes have dried completely before using them.
  • Use Clorox to remove coffee and tea stains from teacups by adding one teaspoon of Clorox bleach per one gallon of warm water. Soak the china and then wash normally.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon Clorox bleach to one quart of water to maximize the life of fresh cut flowers.
  • Dilute Clorox bleach and deoderize coolers and themos bottles.
  • Mix three-quarters cup Clorox bleach per gallon of water and remove mold and mildew from the outside of your home or office building.
  • Clean and disinfect garbage cans by using three-quarter of a cup Clorox with one gallon of water. Let stand five minutes and rinse.
  • Prevent bacteria on butcher blocks from spreading by using three tablespoons Clorox per gallon of water.
  • Remove stains from baby clothes. Mix one quarter cup Clorox with one gallon of water and let the clothes soak in a plastic bucket for five minutes. Rinse and dry using your washing machine and dryer.

    There are a million uses for Clorox bleach. And, don't forget all the uses for the Clorox bleach bottle. You can do everything from make a bird feeder to a pooper scooper for your pet. You can also add 1/4 of a cup to your laundry cycle to get your clothes clean and stains out.

    Warnings

  • Keep Clorox out of the reach of children. Do not keep Clorox bleach in the sunlight but stored in a cupboard. Clorox bleach is toxic if swallowed and you should immediately call the poision control center.
