Uses for Old Blue Jeans

Blue jeans are a piece of clothing that everyone seems to wear until they just can not be worn any longer. But, usually when this time comes, there is still parts of them that are not wore out. What do you do with them at this point? Do you throw them away or do you use that part of the jeans that are still good? Luckily if using the part of the blue jeans that is still good is what you have chosen to do that there are several things that can be done with them.

Pillows can be made out of worn out blue jeans. Simply cut one of the legs of the jeans off then hem take the cut off portion of the jeans leg to the sewing machine and hem the edges where the cut was made. Now take a piece of decorative cord to one end of the cut off leg and tie it as tightly as possible. Then take some sort of filler, even panty hose will work, and stuff the cut off leg. Close up the open end of the blue jean pillow by tying the open end up tight with another piece of decorative cord.

A sneaker bag can be made out of a pair of worn out blue jeans as well. To do this, cut off one of the blue jean legs at 18 inches in length, sew one end closed, sew a casing on the other end to run a drawstring through or just cut holes in the open leg and run the cord through the holes then place the sneakers into the bag.

A blue jean bag is another item that can be made out of an old worn out pair of jeans. This may be an interesting way to keep that favorite pair of jeans in your life if the legs are worn out but the top is still in good shape. To make a denim bag, take the scissors and cut the legs off of the jeans. Sew the holes where the legs used to be closed then sew a handle or even some straps on the topside of the jean bag. There are several uses for this type of bag so have fun with it.
