Make Your Bathroom Unique with Polished Porcelain Tiles

There are so many shapes, sizes and colors you can get with polished porcelain tiles that they are really a good way to decorate. The effects you can get are almost limitless. It doesn't matter how large of an area you need to cover, you can do it with polished porcelain tiles. You can also use polished porcelain tiles in other areas of the house besides the bathroom, such as in a kitchen or entryway. They are not, however, as strong as garage floor tiles, so you can't use them for the most heavy duty applications.

Some bathrooms have freestanding shower areas, and you could put polished porcelain tiles there to distinguish it from the rest of the room. Another option would be to cover bathroom or shower walls with polished porcelain tiles, or you could just use them halfway up the wall. There are even special tiles for the ceiling and counter. Most any surface in your bathroom will look good in polished porcelain tiles, and you can make some very appealing designs with different colors and styles. It is up to you how you will decorate with them.

As you plan out your bathroom, kitchen, or other heavy duty location decorations, count polished porcelain tiles into your options. Water will not really affect these tiles; that is what makes them so ideal. Most of the time, these tiles are used in high stress portions of the bathroom. After deciding where you want to use the tile, the only thing left is to pick out a color and size.

Color is pretty much subjective, but size is usually dependent on what you plan on using the tile for. In the bathroom, floor polished porcelain tiles, also the same ones you want for a shower enclosure, are the largest ones, and those used for the walls and counters are often the smallest. For the more imaginative decorator, there are also vintage polished porcelain tiles, but they'll be much harder to find than the regular ones. However, if you like the vintage look and that's what you already have in your home, it just might be worth the effort to go out and find them. Vintage polished porcelain tiles will ensure that your bathroom won't look like anyone else's.

Polished porcelain tiles are a very versatile option, and they are much more durable than many flooring materials. They are most commonly used in bathrooms, but you could also decorate an entryway or kitchen with these tiles. Find the style and size you need, and be prepared for a tile that will outperform any others you have tried thus far in uniqueness.
