Using Foundation

Are you applying your foundation correctly? Maybe you aren't and you don't even know it. Here is the correct way to apply foundation.

Liquid foundations are usually best, unless you have really oily skin. Liquid foundations are good for people with dry skin because they are more moisturizing and less likely to cook caked.

Make sure you are using the right shade for your skin tone. You should compare shades with shade of your jawline and try to match th shad of your jawline to a shade that best matches the shade of the foundation. If your skin tone changes a lot due to tanning, make sure you have a supply of different shades.

Prepare your skin before you apply. Make sure you have washed your skin prior to applying any makeup. Always use moisturizer because this helps makeup blend into the skin easier.

Consider using a primer. Thy help your makeup last longer and they help even out the texture of the skin making it look smoother and more even toned.

Use a makeup sponge. Dip the sponge in foundation and spread the foundation lightly over your skin in a circular motion. Do not use your fingers because your fingers contain oils that get onto your face.

Make sure that you don't forget to blend your foundation to the top of your neck to avoid makeup lines.
