Using Free Keyword Research Tools to Increase Your Page Views

The Right Keywords Draws Readers to Your Articles

As AC content producers, we realize that to earn money we need to produce a lot of content. However, don't forget AC's Performance Bonus. AC will pay you $1.50 for every 1000 page views of your articles. Keyword research can help you drive more visitors to your articles.

How does keyword research work? Keywords are the foundation of search engine traffic. And most of the internet traffic is from search engines. By finding the right keywords, you can change some words on your AC articles (especially in the title) and your articles will show up in more search results.

So, how do you figure out which keywords to use in your articles? That's where free keyword research tools can help. I use these free keyword tools to find good keywords.

Adwords (adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal)
Wordtracker (freekeywords.wordtracker.com)
Overture (inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/)

Keyword Tools

After you write your article, use these tools to find the keywords relating to your article. Do a quick brainstorm on keywords internet users might use to find your article. For example, I recently wrote about the top five fan websites of the TV show, Heroes.

Many AC content producers would simply write the article and give it a title like "Top Five Heroes Fan Websites." However, when I used the keyword tools, I found that the people typing the search term heroes did not usually pair it with fan or websites. Instead, there were three common words that the heroes searchers used: tv, show, and nbc.

Keywords

With those three words in mind, I wrote this title: "NBC Heroes TV Show: The Top Five Fansites." Notice how I added the keywords in the title. It is so important to add good keywords in the title. Search engines look at the title to figure out which keywords you will rank for.

Next, I included the keywords in the first paragraph. While not as important as keywords in the title, search engines do look at the first paragraph to figure out what your article is about.

Finally, I added the keywords in the article body to further notify the search engines of my topic. Don't overdo this or the search engines will penalize your article. Having 3-4 instances of each keyword is enough.

These small changes will drive more internet users to my article. In fact, my article is on the second page of Google's search results for these keywords: nbc heroes show, nbc heroes tv, heroes show tv, and heroes tv show. Also, it's on the third page for heroes tv.

Conclusion

After writing your article, make sure to do some quick keyword research using those three free keyword tools. Find highly searched keywords that relate to your article. Then, modify your article by inserting those keywords in your title and opening paragraph. Finally, insert those same keywords 3-4 times in the body of your article.

If you follow these tips, you will increase your page views.

I wish I would've read your article before publishing my first, but at least I now know where to go for my future submission assistance.
