Homeopathy is a system of treatment that has been around since the late 1700's. Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in Germany is the father of homeopathy. Homeopaths are doctors who go to medical school for years. They treat illness is a very different way than standard medicine. How homeopathy works is hard for most people to understand. Homeopathic remedies are made from plants such as aconite or dandelion; minerals such as iron phosphate; and from animals. These substances are diluted to certain strengths so that the strength of the remedy fits the severity of the ailment. These remedies are closely regulated by the FDA. Even though homeopathic remedies can be purchased at the health food store, you need the expertise of a homeopathic doctor to correctly implement them.

To use the correct homeopathic medicine, the homeopathic doctor will do an intensive patient history that sometimes involves an hour or more. He assesses the patient on a physical, mental, and spiritual level so that he can prescribe the precise, individual homeopathic medicine or medicines in the proper dosage.

The Homeopathic protocol for each patient is based on several levels: person's physical symptoms, personality traits, spiritual and mental state. . Emotions like grief, sadness, anger, resentment, fear, panic all have an negative influence on how the body functions which lead to imbalances and to disease. Personality traits that hold in emotions and anger, have more health problems than people who can better express their feelings. Alternative medicine treats the whole body not just symptoms to achieve healing that comes from cell level. All of this is considered in homeopathic medicine.

The following homeopathic medicines may help Fibromyalgia but the assessment on which remedies and their proper dosage needs to be assessed by a homeopathic physician.
