Using the HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One

My business had a copier that broke down frequently. I had the copy repairman at my office so often, we were on a first name basis, and we knew each other's life stories. Frank is a nice guy, but I needed to make a change.

In addition to the copier, I had a scanner, a fax machine that cried if you asked it to send more than three pages, an inkjet printer on the brink of death, and scanner.

I decided it was time to say goodbye to Frank and all of these machines that were taking up space in my office. I started shopping around for an all in one machine.

I had been a bit wary of the all in ones, but I found the HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One at Staples for $199.98 after a $100.00 rebate.

The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One has everything I needed in one smart looking machine. I set it up where the inkjet had been, and hooked it up to my computer.

The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One prints, faxes, copies, and scans like nobody's business. Well, actually like I need for my business.

The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-Ones print function claims it will give me up to 33pages per minute black and 32 pages per minute color. It also says it will produce copies with the same speed. To be honest I counted and the actual speed for both functions is more like 20 pages per minute, but that still is pretty darn good as far as I am concerned.

The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One also scans so quickly your head will spin. (Well not like the Exorcist, but the scanner is pretty quick) I have used scanners in the past, and they usually take about 30 seconds to a minute to warm up, and then the scan head moves very slowly. If I had much to scan in, I used to take a lunch.

The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One also allows me to plug in my media card from my Digital Camera and either gives me the option to print borderless pictures of up to 8 ½ x 11, or copy them to my hard drive.

I don't fax as many documents as I used to, but the HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One has a feed tray that has a 50 page capacity. (Just don't put the stuff you are faxing in upside down. Long story)

Overall, I have to say that the HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One has proven to be one of the most time saving, and economical business machines I have ever used. The price was perfect, and has already begun to pay for itself. I still get together with Frank for a beer now and again. He's forgiven me.
