Want to get better sleep, fight disease and think better? You can combine certain ingredients or healthy tips and get better results than if you did these things as stand alone health benefits. These combo's have been studied and determined that each ingredient boosts the benefits of the other when used together.

Stress Melter

Adding pumpkin seeds to your yogurt can act like a muscle relaxant giving your tired or sore muscles a needed break. The magnesium in the pumpkin seeds are a muscle relaxant. Combining these with calcium in milk, yogurt or other dairy products balance it out giving it a boost.

Simple, Easy and Tasty Brain Boosters

Feel like your brain is just sluggish? These tips, when paired together, can give your brain a memory boost by triggering new growth in the memory center. Epicatechin is a compound found in chocolate, especially in dark chocolate that works as a memory enhancer. The Salt Institute for Biological Studies in California discovered taking a brisk walk after eating dark chocolate can boost your memory and causes brain cells to communicate faster.

Another combination to help your brain power is adding some lemon to green tea. This helps prevent plaque buildup in your arteries and could ward off Alzheimer's disease.

Tasty Wrinkle Fighter

We all dread finding that first wrinkle, but we generally accept it and feel we've earned it after a certain age. The problem comes from more wrinkles creeping up on us. People who eat a lot of seeds and nuts have been found to have better skin and less wrinkles. Linoleic acid is a fatty acid found in seeds and nuts and helps keep the skin plump and wrinkle resistant. Adding Vitamins E and C are both excellent compounds for skin health and when paired with a healthy diet that includes linoleic acid you get a tasty way to prevent wrinkles. Enjoy your nuts with a glass of orange juice for a healthy treat.

Better Sleep with Nature's Help

Valerian Root has long been touted as a non-habit forming sleep aid. Many people use it nightly and report they fall to sleep faster and have better sleep. One thing to remember if you've never taken Valerian Root is the smell. It has a very strong pungent odor. The stronger the smell, the more potent it is. But don't worry, it's just the supplement that smells. Pairing Valerian Root with Lemon Balm, another soothing natural ingredient, can be as effective as many prescription sleep aids.

Chamomile tea and honey are another great and tasty combination that helps you relax and enjoy better sleep. Do not use all these tips in one though. Try one or the other to see which works best for you. You may even want to rotate each combination nightly.

Garlic and Vitamin C Lowers Blood Pressure

Many people take daily garlic supplements for lowering their blood pressure. Vitamin C is a powerhouse little nutrient that aids almost every mechanism in the human body. Pairing these two together can give you triple benefits for lowering high blood pressure.

Other ways you can enjoy doubling the benefits of ingredients are adding avacado's to your salad to help your vision. Adding spinach and bell peppers are also good sources of lutien, the ingredient that helps your vision. Add some brocoli and a glass of red wine and the compounds in those can help control unhealthy cholesterol with antioxidants.

If your sinuses are all stuffy and you feel congestion, add a bowl of chicken soup along with your salad.
