Using the Maytag Jetclean II Built-In Dishwasher

Get All Your Dishes Squeaky Clean

The dishwasher that had been in the house when we bought it was finally on its last legs. My wife and I decided we better start looking for a new one, as we no longer have any teenagers living in the house. (I hate washing dishes by hand!)

Looking at information on several brands, we decided on the Maytag Jetclean II. It has a lot of nice features to recommend it.

In the first place the Maytag Jetclean II has the tallest tub available, which means you can load more dishes into it before you have to run it. It also has three washer arms and four cycles that get your dishes really clean.

We have white appliances for the most part, so we got the Maytag Jetclean II in that color. The old one was black, and just looked wrong for some reason. Plus it seemed like it got dirty a lot easier.

The Maytag Jetclean II has a powerful motor that really works hard, but when it is running I was surprised how quiet it was. With the old dishwasher, you had to turn up the television when it was running, or you couldn't hear a thing.

The racks on the Maytag Jetclean II are stainless steel, and I have not had them get stuck, or had any problems with them rolling. The top rack also comes out, although I have never quite figured out why we need that feature.

The four wash cycles on the Maytag Jetclean II are great. You have a choice of Heavy wash, normal wash, light wash, and rinse only. Technically you really have two more cycles, Insta wash which you can use if your dishes are only slightly dirty, for example if you have fixed a bunch of sandwiches or only light foods something like that.

The other "extra" cycle is Auto Clean, which is what we usually use. The Maytag Jetclean II has a brain apparently, which is a bit smarter than we are in picking the best amount of water to use depending on how dirty the dishes are.

Another feature we really like is the option to sanitize your dishes. When you select this option, the Maytag Jetclean II raises the water temperature up to 155°.

We sometimes use the delay feature, so the Maytag Jetclean II will not wash the dishes until after we go to bed.

We got a good deal on the Maytag Jetclean II at Sears for $575.00. This is an excellent dishwasher.
