It can also be a somewhat daunting job since there are hundreds of nursery themes that you can choose from. One great option for nursery decor is to use characters and themes from children's nursery rhymes.

Most of us already know countless nursery rhymes from our own childhood. You can use some of these nursery rhymes you already know to get ideas for planning your own baby nursery. Think of the stories you heard as a child. Goldilocks and The Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and Jill. All of the themes from these stories can be combined to create a fanciful nursery that your child will be sure to enjoy. Or you can choose one nursery rhyme that is your favorite and use that specific theme to decorate your nursery.

If you have a hard time recalling children's nursery rhymes you can search the internet or check your local library for different stories.A great website for finding childrens nursery rhymes is Zelo.com. Mother Goose nursery rhymes are a definite favorite for nursery decorating. MamaLisa.com has a great listing of Mother Goose nursery rhymes.

Take your time and visit some of the baby boutiques in your area. There are quite a few stores that specialize in merchandise for nurseries. There you will be able to view some of the many items you can use to decorate your nursery. Be prepared to be amazed though, as there is likely to be many different baby nursery themes to choose from! Some stores quite literally have hundreds of styles of baby nursery bedding.

You can even find most of these stores online so you can even decorate your nursery from the comfort of your own home. Chidrenstory.com and babymania.com both offer many different styles of nursery bedding and accessories with a nursery rhyme theme. Do not let yourself get overwhelmed though. Choosing your nursery decor can be quite easy if you take a few things into consideration.

Do you have any specific nursery furniture that you would like to use? If you do, you will want to make sure your decor will match your furniture. Or perhaps you have found specific nursery bedding that you want to use. That will make choosing the rest of the decor for your nursery quite easy since you will already have the basic theme figured out with the bedding.

Perhaps you are artistic or know someone who is. There are many mural wall stencils for nurseries available that you could use to decorate your walls. Then you can match the rest of nursery decor to your murals. Using a nursery rhyme theme to decorate your nursery is a wonderful way to give your child a whimsical, imaginative room that they will be sure to enjoy!
