Using SEO Writing for Your Business

Beth Lytle
Some businesses rely solely on SEO writing to promote their products and these businesses hire writers independently or use writing companies to produce these articles. The object of posting an SEO (search engine optimization) article is to provide an article that is full of searchable keywords, so that if an individual plugs in specific words into a search engine, the article or website might pop up ahead of others. Eventually, popular searched pages will rank higher with the search engines and will be listed at the top of the list. Writers can utilize SEO articles to promote their writing networking articles, personal websites and blogs. A good example of someone who wants to use SEO writing to promote a business or service is a flooring installer who offers contracted flooring services locally. That individual may put together a website that talks about the products they install and the service they provide. A blog in SEO article writing style can be presented on the site. The individual can list flooring installation and cleaning tips for readers in a blog, but may use articles that are full of SEO or searchable keywords. Offering this type of material may draw in potential customers, but may also put the webpage at the top of the search engine list.

Decide on keywords and key phrases that describe the subject matter. Make a list before beginning a blog or article of all the keywords and key phrases. Use as many key words throughout the article or blog as you can, without making it sounds uninteresting. Some people want up to 5 keywords per paragraph, but putting a limit on it may flood the article to the point of making it unreadable, so it's best to write what you feel and go through and count how many "keywords" show up. You can try to ad sentences that make sense later on.

Submit SEO articles to directories, blogs and social networking sites. Some individuals shoot for 30 SEO articles to directories and 30 to blogs each month. Links can be posted RSS feeds and social networking sites. Use craigslist and other websites to help promote the business and blog.
