Jump in with Both Feet and Start Tweeting with Twitter

Sometimes we are afraid of change and therefore we tend to back away from that change. Almost anyone who is anyone is on Twitter and Facebook nowadays. It is the age of social book marking and social networking. So now is the time to get signed up for Twitter and start that networking. The sign up process for Twitter is simple and fairly painless, it is also free to sign up for Twitter

You need a username and a password to sign up at Twitter, so carefully come up with a username. Now if you are a professional of some manor you will want to use that name for Twitter so you can continue to build your brand. Twitter can be useful for small business owners, website owners and freelance writers. I want to build my brand, which is my name so my Twitter name is: MarieMDaniels.

Once you have joined the online social community that is Twitter you will want to make your first tweet. A tweet is a short sentence telling those who are following you what you are up to at the time. You are allowed a post of 140 characters, which is the smallest amount available for most mobile phones for texting or SMS. Posting a tweet can be done from your computer or your cell phone. If you want to tweet from your cell phone you will have to add your mobile phone number to your account online.

There are many things that you can accomplish with Twitter: you can make friends, you could make business contacts, and you can let customers know about sales, you can post links to your new articles. You can follow your favorite tweeters on Twitter, just click on the follow button. Then when you sign in and look at your page you will also be able to read their tweets, but your followers will only see your tweets. If you haven't signed up yet it may sound a little confusing but it really is simple to figure out. You can even earn money with Twitter with Twivert and ad placement.

Just because there is new technology out there you do not have to be afraid to get on board the gravy train. Embrace the new and change with it, you will be better off and have a bigger presence on the Internet. So get out there and tweet away, tweet away my friends.
