Utah State University: There's Plenty to Do in This College Town

Are you thinking about attending Utah State University, but lost as to what there may be to do in such a rural place in Utah? Don't fret, because what you may not know is that Utah State University is quite the happening university!

First off, to make up for the not as much excitement in the town, Utah State University's student council works hard to maintain the activities on campus. With one of the nation's best Halloween partys, All Hallow's Eve will sure to be a hit amongst you and your friends. Every year it sells out, and more and more excitement is added - including costume contests and awesome prizes, a fun dance, dance dance revolution competitions, scary movies on the jumbo-tron (be sure to curl up to your date for this one.. it may be chilly and spooky!) and much much more. In addition, Utah State's student activity council also throws bashes all the time, including back to school/campus bashes, dorm campus bashes, smaller holiday bashes such as thanksgiving, valentines day, and so forth. As well, Utah State University's student council throws free concerts with up and coming hot bands like Jacks Manequin, etc.

If you're determined to hit the town, Logan Valley has some of the most gorgeous scenery in Utah. Whether your up for skiing in the mountain resorts a bit south such as Deer Valley (one of the nation's most popular!), Nordic Valley, or Snow Basin, or hiking in the local scenery. Logan also has wonderful fishing, boating, and swimming in their gorgeous Logan River. If you're curious about the history, why not visit the American West Heritage Center, or you can hit up the Utah Festival Opera company both also located in dear Logan.

As well as the gorgeous scenery, historical sports, and happening campus, Logan also happens to be known for their awesome shopping. With 2 huge malls, full of your favorite department and box shops, your bound to find something you love at the Logan Malls. Including, JcPenny, Macys, Nordstrom, Wal-Mart, etc. As well, you will find something delicious to eat at the several restraunts located through out th town including Red Lobster, Chuck-A-Rama, AppleBee's, Outback Steak House, Chilli's, and so forth.

So whether you're planning to live in the dorms, and your activities will be more secluded to on campus, or you will be traveling through out the Logan Valley, there is something for everyone at Utah State University!
