If it could only be;
The world as seen;
Through pure and innocent eyes;
Where laughter would be prevalent;
And tears shed no more;
Everyone embraces differences;
The sounds of falling explosives;
Forever silenced;
Kindness would be rewarded;
And trust would be reborn;
Where love is more than just an emotion;
There for a moment, but gone in an instant;
No more cardboard box homes;
And every child would have enough to eat;
Where every one is greeted;
By a smile and a warm hug;
Everyone would have a sense of purpose;
Prejudices completely obliterated;
And a person's life is worth more;
Than the things that they own;
Where no one is treated as a burden;
Cast aside or ignored;
I wish that I could believe;
The idealism that I had;
While still in the prime of my youth;
That such a place could ever exist;
For if there is such a place;
That is where I would rather be.
The world as seen;
Through pure and innocent eyes;
Where laughter would be prevalent;
And tears shed no more;
Everyone embraces differences;
The sounds of falling explosives;
Forever silenced;
Kindness would be rewarded;
And trust would be reborn;
Where love is more than just an emotion;
There for a moment, but gone in an instant;
No more cardboard box homes;
And every child would have enough to eat;
Where every one is greeted;
By a smile and a warm hug;
Everyone would have a sense of purpose;
Prejudices completely obliterated;
And a person's life is worth more;
Than the things that they own;
Where no one is treated as a burden;
Cast aside or ignored;
I wish that I could believe;
The idealism that I had;
While still in the prime of my youth;
That such a place could ever exist;
For if there is such a place;
That is where I would rather be.

There is a place like that, but the path to it is long and narrow, although it is wide enough that if we step off of it sometimes we won't lose our footing. The time will come when we reach that paradise, but until then we will do the best with what we have.... This was a very moving piece Sis, Not only did I read it ....I felt it.................. Thank you for giving us a glimps of The New Earth with God. ~ ~ PEACE ~ ~
