V

Episode 1

Aaron Johnson
V Possibly one of the most anticipated series of the fall, V brings familiar faces from different places together to bring us the cast of V. 24 and NYPD Blue fans will recognize Carrie Turner as Valerie Stevens, LOST fans will see a familiar face as Elizabeth Mitchell plays one of the lead roles as FBI agent Erica Evans, people familiar with movies such as Like Mike and Boys N Da Hood will recognize Morris Chestnut as the mysterious Ryan Nichols, boyfriend and planning to be fiancé of Carrie. The episode starts off with the arrival of the Visitors, their leader, Anna (Morena Baccarin) promising peace and technology in return for water and a mysterious mineral. Many people turn to a local church where Father Jack Landry (Joel Gretsch) presides searching for answers about the Visitors while Erica looks into possible links with a terrorist group. Back in the space shuttle, Anna sends one of her men to get news reporter Chad Decker (Scott Wolf). While Erica's son Tyler is on the ship he meets a cute blonde girl that invites him to spend more time with the V's. The second appearance of apples in the episode brings to mind the possibility of some kind of significance to question.

Throughout the episode, Nichols receives mysterious calls and is contacted once in person by a shady figure asking for his help. Right after that, a man dies virtually in the preacher's arms and tells him to go to a meeting where the Vs apparently gather. Erica ends up at the exact same meeting. The leader of the meeting explains that the Vs have been on earth for an extremely long time. They cut a v shaped hole in every person at the meeting's head to ensure they are indeed human.

The embedding of conspiracy by the Vs has caused tons of turmoil while the arrival of the spaceship makes them out to be the heroes. The meeting is crashed by a bunch of Vs and Ryan shows up to help save the day. It appears there is much more to his character than meets the eye. He is actually a V himself. A traitor of their collective. The question of how the meeting was leaked is brought to mind. Perhaps one of the FBI agents? An alien among the resistance? Maybe even the other priest?? These questions and more can only be answered by tuning on next week!! Though first entranced by the Visitors, Wolf becomes extremely apprehensive of them.
