Vacation on the Cheap at Virginia Beach

Going to a beach resort area does not mean that you have to break the bank and go into debt in order to have a good time. You and your family can have an enjoyable beach experience while saving money by staying in the resort area of Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach has everything a family and singles need to call their fun in the sun experience a real vacation. All of the ocean front hotels have direct access to the beach, which limit's the amount of time lugging your stuff to the sand. Also there is an excellent bike trail right on the boardwalk where you can scooter, skate, inline, or ride bikes. Many of the hotels have bike rental stations in front of them and the price generally ranges from 10 to 20 dollars depending of what you rent and how long you want to use it. You can save money and time by bringing your own bikes. There is also a pier for those who are inspired to fish and you can bring your own equipment or rent that also. The pier even has a restaurant and ice-cream booth.

The cost of a night's stay at an ocean front hotel in Virginia Beach can range from 100 to 300 dollars and this all depends on the time of year you book your stay and events going on in the area. A great time to get a low rate is during the month of June and during the last two weeks of August. If you do not mind going during the off season, you can get a luxury room for the price of a budget hotel and still enjoy decent weather. Even during the month of September and some of October you can have fun in the sun at the beach.

While you are there you can spend close to money at all at Mount Trashmore, walking on the trails, riding bikes, watching skateboarders or skating yourself. For children there is an excellent playground area called kids cove. This playground is large and has many towers and slides. Also many of the hotels in the ocean front have restaurants in them that not only provide a great meal but good live entertainment.
