Big Muddy Ghost Hunters is "dedicated to the study, investigation, and preservation of the history of ghosts and spirits along the upper Mississippi". "The Ghosts of Dubuque City Tour" takes you to haunted sites. Tour graveyards, spooky streets, and supposedly haunted mansions. Tour is lead by Certified Ghost Researchers. Tour guides were wonderful. Whether it was my imagination or not I heard some very spooky sounds.
The Spirit is a century old replica of a river steamboat. Enjoy the view of the bluffs then get prepared for a night of murder, mystery and good food.
During the summer months you can take part in an interactive murder mystery. Get your blood pumping and your detective skills sharpened and join your fellow mystery buffs for an entertaining cruise. They operate both lunch and evening murder mystery cruises.
If romance is more your style the Vow Renewal cruise will be right up your alley. This cruise is officiated by a minister. Couples will renew their vows as a group. Families are welcome to attend the festivities.
The Mississippi River Museum has something for all ages. Learn about riverboat history. Plenty of hands on activities and historical artifacts. After visiting the museum enjoy a relaxing trip on the river aboard the Mississippi Explorer.
The Fenelon Elevator rises to almost 300 feet. From the top of it you see a magnificent view of the Mississippi River and three states.
Enjoy a great adventure exploring the Crystal Lake Caves. Over 2.5 miles of cave to explore and a restaurant with wonderful food. Remember to bring a sweater average temperature in the caves is 55 degrees.
The Richards House Bed and Breakfast will complete your Dubuque experience. The host and hostess go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable. The food is magnificent. The restored Victorian has over 80 stained glass windows and 8 fireplaces. Walking into the parlor is like stepping back in time. Even our poodle felt welcome.
