Do you travel to Disney World once or more a year? If you find yourself down in the Orlando area to visit your favorite mouse at least once a year, DVC may be a great option for you. Vacation ownership in the parks has more than just the accommodations taken care of. DVC members receive a generous discount on Annual Passes, discounts on many restaurants on property and discounts on tours and recreation as well. And if Disney is your vacation location of choice, why not look into a way to stay at some of the best resorts affordably?
Do you enjoy lengthy stays at Disney World? The Walt Disney World Resort is enormous and guests would need months to see it all and do it all. And a trip can be exhausting on its own, with all the action. So how better to relax and enjoy everything the resorts has to offer? A nice, long stay. DVC makes this easy. Members can book accommodations for as much time as they desire and whatever days they want. My family has taken several vacations lasting 15 nights and have enjoyed every moment. A 15 night stay at a deluxe resort would cost thousand upon thousands of dollars. The same vacation with the DVS ownership investment will just use your points. Remember: it only takes a few DVC vacations until your investment has paid for itself. Enjoy adding days to your trip and using the money you saved for airfare, rental car, tickets and dining!
Do you enjoy short jaunts at Disney World? Kids have a few days off in October and you'd like to go take in the Halloween decorations and the Food and Wine Festival? Want a long weekend for your anniversary? Feel like dashing down for a few days to try out a new ride or attraction? Short trips to Disney can be great little mini getaways and with DVC, you can choose your dates and your accommodation size. And with the cost of accommodations taken out of the mix, suddenly those little trips seem much more doable!
Do you consider the resort a big part of your vacation experience? Frequent visitors to Disney World will often say the room is a place to sleep and shower. Going from attraction to attraction is the focus and in this case, the room should be clean, comfortable and close to the action. If you like to make your resort part of the vacation experience, DVC maybe for you. Spend a day lazing around at the Beach Club's Stormalong Bay. Rent a boat and take in the sites on the Sassagoula River from Old Key West. Sign up for countless kids activities at each of the Disney Vacation Club resorts. If you want to spend some quality time at your resort, the spaciousness and luxury of the DVC resorts may be exactly what you need.
Do you want to stay on property, but you want more space? DVC offers room beginning with studio accommodations for four all the way up to three room full sized grand villas. In between, you will find one and two bedroom vacation resorts. Stretch out, unpack your things and find yourself with enough space to feel completely at home. The full size kitchens and washer/dryers located in all DVC rooms except studios are a convenience unmatched by a regular hotel room.
Do you like to prepay your vacations? With DVC, every payment you make is a payment towards your future vacations. And when the contract is paid off and all that is left are the annual dues, you can sit back, relax and know that every time you travel to Disney, you have already paid for your deluxe accommodations. The convenience of having this payment taken care of, year after year, can allow members to take more frequent trips, or to really add on some special events to the longer trips.
Do you prefer the deluxe accommodations at Disney? DVC resorts include some of the most luxurious accommodations on Disney property. The deluxe resorts include: Beach Club Villas, the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Villas, Boardwalk Villas, and the Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary Resort. Adding to this list are the DVC only resorts of Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa and Disney's Old Key West. In addition to these deluxe resorts, members can convert their vacation club points to reservation points and use these at nearly every other Disney World Resort on property. Dream of spending a few nights on the concierge level at the Grand Floridian? Use your points and enjoy!
Do you love your Disney World trips, but also want to travel elsewhere? DVC isn't only about Walt Disney World in Florida. Members can also enjoy there vacation club points at three other DVC resorts in Vero Beach, Hilton Head Island and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Vacation points can be converted to reservation points and be used at a number of concierge level accommodations throughout the United States and Europe, the Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, DVC exclusive adventures including African safaris, Alaskan Cruise and more, and all resorts at the Disney parks around the world. A new Disney Vacation Club resort is also planned in Hawaii, where members can travel and stay in Disney's luxury in the Hawaiian islands. And finally, DVC members can bank a week at their home resort and trade it for large accommodations at hundreds of resorts throughout the world with timeshare companies like Interval International.
DVC is a large investment, there is no question about that. But for those who have already made Disney and Disney vacations a part of their lives, it can be a truly wise investment in your family's future. So next time you see one of those kiosks, take a peek. You may find yourself walking away, owning your very own piece of the Disney magic!
