Vaccines and the Decline of Diseases

We have heard so much about the wonderful connection between vaccines and the elimination of certain diseases such as polio and smallpox, but if you look at the history of the two together, there might just be something else behind the decline of these illnesses.

Polio was a rare condition before the introduction of vaccines, but as more and more vaccines were introduced and the more widespread their use, the greater the Polio outbreaks until the Polio vaccine was introduced. If you read my article on the History of Polio and vaccines, you can see a direct correlation between the outbreaks of Polio following the introduction or widespread use of vaccines which would seem to indicate that either polio was transmitted via the vaccines or the vaccines weakened the immune system leaving people susceptible to polio.

Smallpox is another big claim by the vaccine industry, we have eliminated Smallpox by herd immunization, but is this true? Smallpox a once dreaded disease was on a tremendous decline as sanitary practices inclined. Once the widespread use of disinfectants began, Smallpox, Diphtheria, Measles and many other bacterial diseases were by all appearance approaching extinction. The last 15 years before the introduction of the Smallpox vaccine, Smallpox had declined with no cases in North America 1949 to 1967 when the global campaign began. So Smallpox was already extinct in North America long before Americans were vaccinated for the disease, yet they wave a flag of vicory to the effectiveness of vaccines?

Water treatment and sanitary conditions had all but eliminated Diphtheria before the vaccine was even used widespread. Was the vaccine necessary or did the vaccine industry see a gift horse and rode it?

Vaccines and the decline of diseases does not always go hand in hand. Pertussis appears to be on an incline in spite of the vaccine. It has been shown that an individual receiving the live polio virus vaccine actually increases his or her risk by 8 times. Tetanus has almost entirely disappeared before the vaccines, but about half of the cases that do occur now are in people who have been fully vaccinated. It appears the best solution to tetanus is throughly cleansing of the wound. The decline in Diphtheria occurred as improvements in water treatment increased, not with the introduction of the vaccine.

The vaccine industry loves to tout Smallpox as a vaccine success, but since they chose one as an example of proof of their effectiveness, let me pick one illness as proof that illnesses were on their way out thanks to the effectiveness of sanitary living. Have you ever heard of Scarlet Fever? Scarlet Fever like so many other illnesses was on it's way out and now appears to be extinct in the United States if not the world, yet there is no vaccine? How can this be? I would be willing to bet that if a Scarlet Fever vaccine had been produced, it would also be a poster child for the effectiveness of vaccines, but the apparent facts are that proper living and sanitary conditions have been more of a causative agent for the disappearance of these diseases than were vaccines, and in fact as seen with the history of polio and vaccines, the vaccines may have simply traded a somewhat innocuous childhood disease that can be prevented and treated, for a far more ugly and crippling disease.

Disclaimer: This article, "Vaccines and the decline of diseases", is not intended to give medical advice. It is a call to educate yourself about disease and vaccines so that in making a decision where your child is concerned, you should take an active role in learning all you can from medical experts on both sides of the fence, then make an educated decision. we did not make an informed decision until one son got Leukemia and another developed Autism immediately after receiving his MMR vaccine. This has sent us on a quest to inform ourselves and others to seriously question what kind of toxic soups are being injected with the vaccines. Odds are if your child is injured by a vaccine, you have little or no recompense against the industry.
